About This Pumpkin Cream Cold Brew

An iced version of your fall favorite pumpkin spice latte made with pumpkin spice syrup.

  • Cold brew coffee flavored with pumpkin spice syrup (homemade or store-bought) that’s topped off with a pumpkin cream topping.
  • Recipe includes how to make a batch of homemade pumpkin spice syrup which can be made ahead of time and used all week.
  • The drink is best with cold brew but can be made with strong coffee from your coffee machine, Nespresso, or Keurig.
  • Cold cream topping can be made with heavy cream but to lighten the drink, you can use cold milk. A handheld milk frother or a French press is all you need to make fluffy cold foam.

  4. Assemble drink.
Pour pumpkin spice coffee into a cup with ice and top with pumpkin cream topping.

Coffee Options

  • Cold brew coffee
Makes the best iced coffee since it’s smooth and strong. It’s easy to make but just takes a few hours in the refrigerator. See my foolproof cold brew method.
  • Strong coffee from drip machine
Use your regular coffee machine at home to make strong coffee (2-3 tablespoons of ground coffee to make one cup) then chill it down quickly by putting the coffee in the freezer for about 15 minutes.
  • Nespresso or Keurig
Use a pod or capsule to make one cup of coffee then chill it by putting it in the freezer for 15 minutes. A dark roast works better than a lighter roast.
  • Espresso
Use 2 shots of espresso and 3/4 cup of cold water to make a cup of strong coffee.

Topping Options

  • Cream topping
Use a handheld milk frother to whisk cream and pumpkin spice syrup together in a tall container until the cream thickens. It should take less than a minute.
  • Cold milk foam topping
Put cold milk and pumpkin spice syrup into a French press and move the plunger up and down 40 times to make cold foam.

Questions You May Have

Can I make anything ahead of time?

Everything can be made ahead of time and assembled when you’re ready to drink. The pumpkin spice syrup will keep for a week in the refrigerator in an airtight container. The cold brew (without any syrup in it) can be kept in the refrigerator for 1-2 weeks.

What’s in Starbucks Pumpkin Cream Cold Brew?

Ice, brewed coffee, pumpkin cream cold foam, vanilla syrup, and pumpkin spice topping. Unlike my recipe, there are a lot of ingredients like potassium sorbate and carageenan.

Can I make this drink dairy-free?

Yup, just replace the cream topping with a non-dairy milk and use a French press to make cold foam.
