Strawberry Frappuccino

Vanilla Whipped Cream

INSTRUCTIONS

  • Whisk heavy cream and vanilla syrup to make whipped cream. Set aside.
    A handheld milk frother makes whipped cream in seconds.
  • Blend 3 tablespoons strawberry syrup, milk, ice, and homemade Frappuccino base syrup until smooth.
    Start the blender on low, then turn it up high. Use a tamper tool to make sure the ice gets blended evenly.
  • Put 1 tablespoon of strawberry syrup at the bottom of a cup. Pour in Frappuccino.
  • Top drink with whipped cream.

NOTES

  • Don't add ice into the blender first since you won't get an efficient blend. Add ingredients into the blender as it's in the recipe.
  • The secret to making Frappuccinos just like Starbucks is the Frappuccino base syrup. Make a batch ahead of time and keep it in the fridge to use whenever you want to make Frappuccinos.
  • If you don't want to use the homemade Frappuccino base syrup, replace it with just simple syrup to sweeten the drink. Not adding the Frappuccino base syrup will make the texture of your drink icy, and the strawberry milk will separate from the ice.
  • Use a handheld milk frother to make homemade whipped cream quickly and easily. The longer you froth, the thicker the whipped cream will get. To get shiny, luscious whipped cream, froth until you get soft peaks, which should take about 30 seconds.
  • Instead of vanilla whipped cream, you can make it strawberry flavored whipped cream by using strawberry syrup instead of vanilla syrup.
  • Starbucks makes all their Frappuccinos with whole milk but you can use any milk you like.
  • You can use homemade or store-bought vanilla syrup but I highly recommend making it at home.
