Vanilla Whipped Cream

INSTRUCTIONS

  • Whisk heavy cream and vanilla syrup to make whipped cream. Set aside.
    Use a handheld milk frother to make whipped cream in seconds. The longer you whisk the heavy cream, the stiffer it’ll get. It should take about 30-50 seconds to get medium peaks.
  • Blend white chocolate sauce, instant coffee, milk, ice, and homemade Frappuccino base syrup until smooth.
    Start the blender on low, then turn it up high. Use a tamper tool to make sure the ice gets blended evenly. It should take about 15 – 30 seconds depending on the blender.
  • Pour in Frappuccino into a cup.
  • Top drink with whipped cream.

NOTES

  • For an efficient blend, add ice after you've added other ingredients into the blender. Don't put ice into the blender first.
  • Make the homemade Frappuccino base syrup first. You can make it ahead of time and store it in the refrigerator. It's madeof sugar, water, and xanthan gum. The xanthan gum is a thickener that creates that smooth Frappuccino texture. If you don’t want to use the base syrup, you can add simple syrup instead to match the sweetness, but the texture won’t be the same.
  • Homemade vanilla syrup is so tasty and so easy to make. Make a batch and use it all week to add vanilla flavoring to drinks and whipped cream.
  • Instead of vanilla syrup, you can flavor whipped cream using white chocolate sauce. Replace the vanilla syrup in the whipped cream with white chocolate sauce.
  • Frappuccinos are made with whole milk but you can use any milk you like. But note that whole milk creates a richer, creamier Frappuccino.
