NOTES

  • Salted caramel cold foam can be poured on top of any iced drink, replacing milk or sweeteners. Try cold foam on top of a cold brew, iced Americano, or iced latte.
  • The more uniform, tiny bubbles you can create in your foam, the more velvety the cold foam texture will be.
  • A handheld milk frother will also make cold foam, but the French press does a better job. Or, you can use an electric milk frother, like an Aeroccino, on the cold setting.
  • 1/3 cup of half & half can replace with heavy cream and milk in the recipe if you want a lighter version of the cold foam.
  • Cold foam will increase in size so don’t overfill the French press.
  • Don’t underfill the French press either, or it won't froth properly. Make sure the French press filter is touching the liquids before moving the plunger.
  • Cold foam can be stored in the fridge for 2 days.
