What is a Dunkin’ Refresher?

Dunkin’ Refreshers are iced drinks made with a flavored fruit concentrate. The concentrate contains green tea extract and the B vitamins, so Refreshers are lightly caffeinated and energizing.

Refreshers are a good option for those that don’t want coffee but want something to boost their energy with a fruity burst of flavor.

According to Dunkin’, every one of their Refreshers is under 200 calories and made without artificial flavors or dyes.

The flavored fruit concentrate base is in every Refresher and green tea or coconutmilk is added to dilute it.

Currently, there are 2 Refresher flavors, the Strawberry Dragonfruit and the Peach Passionfruit. Previously, there was the Purple Pomegranate, which was discontinued in August 2021 and Apple Cranberry, which was a limited time flavor that ended at the beginning of November.

Due to ingredient and supply shortages, not all Refreshers may be available.

Tips on Ordering Dunkin’ Refreshers

  • You can order a Refresher at any Dunkin’ at any time of the day.
  • Refreshers have different names depending on if you order them with coconutmilk or green tea. The Peach Passionfruit Refresher is made with green tea, while a Golden Peach Refresher is the same drink with coconutmilk instead.
  • Dunkin’ Refreshers are usually served dairy-free, but can be made with dairy milk on request.
  • The fruit concentrate is pre-sweetened, so you don’t need to add sweetener.
  • The Dunkin’ staff will stir the drinks to combine the fruit concentrate and the green tea or coconutmilk. However, for a layered look, ask for the coconutmilk Refreshers unmixed.
  • Dunkin’ offers three sizes for Refreshers: small (12 ounces), medium (24 ounces), and large (32 ounces).
  • Ordering apps are very limited in their options. Right now, only the Strawberry Dragonfruit and Peach Passionfruit Refreshers are on delivery apps, so to get the coconutmilk versions, visit a store in-person or order through the drive-thru window.

Best Dunkin’ Refresher Drinks, Ranked

Here is a ranked list of Dunkin’ Refreshers. Not all drinks are available at every location.

1. Golden Peach Dunkin’ Coconut Refreshers
Coconutmilk + Peach Passion Fruit Flavored Concentrate
Caffeine in a medium: unknown
Calories in a medium: 180
Sugar in a medium: 30 g

The pale golden yellow color of the drink is gorgeous and even better, it tastes great. All the individual flavors are present, and together, leave a sweet aftertaste that is irresistible.

2. Peach Passion Fruit Dunkin’ Refreshers
Brewed Green Tea + Peach Passion Fruit Flavored Concentrate
Caffeine in a medium: 99 mg
Calories in a medium: 130
Sugar in a medium: 29 g

This fruit combination was the most exciting, with a soft sweetness from the peach and tart punch from the passion fruit. You could taste both flavors and the color is a beautiful pale yellow/orange. This drink still had a touch of sweetness without tasting fake.
Drink sizes: Small, Medium, Large

3. Strawberry Dragonfruit Dunkin’ Refreshers
Brewed Green Tea + Strawberry Dragonfruit Flavored Concentrate
Caffeine in a medium: 99 mg
Calories in a medium: 130
Sugar in a medium: 27 g

The Strawberry Dragonfruit combination has a very mild taste but it’s sweet and refreshing, perfect on a hot day. The brewed green tea doesn’t really impact much of a flavor.
Drink sizes: Small, Medium, Large

4. Pink Strawberry Dunkin’ Coconut Refreshers
Coconutmilk + Strawberry Dragonfruit Flavored Concentrate
Caffeine in a medium: unknown
Calories in a medium: 170

This flavor might remind you of a strawberry kiwi Capri Sun. With the coconutmilk added, the flavor gets sort of lost, but it still tastes creamy and sweet.

Questions You May Have

Do Dunkin’ Refreshers have sugar?

Yes, the fruit concentrates are pre-sweetened, so Refreshers can’t be ordered sugar-free.

Do Dunkin’ Refreshers have caffeine?

Yes, all Dunkin Refreshers use a flavored fruit concentrate which contains green tea extract so there’s caffeine in the drink.

Are there other types of Refreshers?

Yes. For a little while during the summer, Dunkin’ had a line of Refreshers with lemonade.

Does Dunkin’ still have the coconutmilk Refreshers?

Yes, but they’re not on the menu. Although the Dunkin’ staff we ordered from offered coconutmilk or green tea as options for each Refresher, other locations might default to the Refresher currently on the menu, which is made with green tea.
