Blonde espresso, honey syrup, and oat milk come together to make this refreshing iced drink. Easy and tasty, make this Starbucks copycat recipe at home in just 5 minutes.
Recipe Highlights
- Iced Honey Oatmilk Latte is a Starbucks cold coffee drink made with their Blonde Espresso Roast, Oatly oat milk, honey blend, and ice. Toasted honey topping is sprinkled on at the end.
- Starbucks has two versions of this drink: one made with Blonde Espresso and one with their signature, dark roasted espresso. The version served now is with Blonde Espresso. The Blonde Espresso contains more caffeine.
- This copycat drink recreates the Starbucks recipe so it’s as close to their version as possible. This recipe makes a grande (16 ounce) Iced Honey Oatmilk Latte.
- Espresso made in an espresso machine or Nespresso will make the best tasting iced latte.

Ingredient Notes
- Blonde Espresso: Blonde Espresso is their branded light roasted coffee. Use their Blonde Espresso to make the espresso for this drink using an espresso machine or Nespresso.
Ground beans: Starbucks Blonde Espresso Roast
Nespresso Original: Starbucks Blonde Espresso
Nespresso Vertuo: Starbucks Blonde Espresso - Honey syrup: It’s so easy to make honey syrup at home with just 2 ingredients. It’s basically watered down honey which makes it easy to mix into drinks.
- Oat milk: Oatly oat milk is what’s used at Starbucks. It’s the best tasting oat milk I’ve had and it’s delicious in lattes.
- Turbinado sugar: This sugar replaces the Toasted Honey Topping that Starbucks uses to garnish the drink.

Step-by-Step Instructions
Step 1: Pour honey syrup into a cup.
This drink makes 16 ounces (a grande Starbucks size).
Step 2: Add Blonde Espresso.
Step 3: Add oat milk and ice.
Step 4: Sprinkle sugar garnish on top.
Expert Tips
- Don’t have Blonde Espresso? The drink tastes great with regular espresso so feel free to use whichever espresso you have.
- Use homemade honey syrup since it’s so easy to make. Honey syrup is honey dissolved in hot water. Creating a syrup instead of using straight honey makes it easier to stir it into the drink. Make a batch ahead of time and store it in the refrigerator.
- You can use any brand of oat milk you like but Starbucks uses Oatly oat milk. No need to get barista oat milk since the oat milk won’t be steamed or made hot. The barista blends of oat milk are formulated so that they froth better.
Questions You May Have
The grande sized drink is made with 2 shots of Blonde Espresso, 3 pumps of Honey Blend, oatmilk (they branded it as one word), ice, and Toasted Honey Topping.
Starbucks Honey Blend is a honey syrup made with honey, water, natural flavors, potassium sorbate, xanthan gum, and citric acid.
All lattes (hot and iced) are made with espresso. If you don’t have an espresso machine or Nespresso, use strong, double-strength coffee or cold brew but it won’t taste quite the same.
